Couples seeking traditional luxury
The hospitality was very nice, staff treated us like family. Akari-sans warm Hojicha as welcome drinks just,, she even wrote us a personalized letter wishing us well, that was so thoughtful!
It wasn't exactly cheap,, but worth every cent that I spent.

Greatly enjoyed our japanese-style room with ordinary beds. This was a gorgeous location really close to the subway station.

The weather was pleasant, had really really nice stay for one night. I stayed here before, always beautiful old and tidy rooms with access to the garden. The price was £ 83009. The hotel was in a stunning location near immaculate garden as well as restaurants and the river.

The private baths offered an very nice relaxation experience after a long day of exploring.
The on-site dining was overpriced and the food quality did not match the high prices.

excellent service but minor room hiccups
The Japanese-Style Luxury Room with Garden View offered a serene and spacious retreat . The staff's attention to detail stood out. Breakfast and dinner were really good, highlighting fresh, local ingredients and traditional flavors. The garden view added a tranquil touch to our experience.
The only downside was the lack of privacy in the common areas during peak times.

We loved our three-night stay, especially the comfy futon mattresses and the relaxing onsen bath. There were great opportunities to unwind in the beautiful garden and at the cozy lounge area. Just a heads up, you might find the close attention from staff a bit much if you're used to a more private experience, but we cherished it 😊

Comfy and tranquil location in an alley in Kyoto, all was perfect. I came across Nishi Tomiya Korokke, it was a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel, offered nice shots. There were climate control, a personal safe and a flat-screen TV in the room, liked that. A tub in the private bathroom was a plus.
